ScooterInstructors.com — freestyle scooter coaching, area by area
Apply, get reviewed, appear on the map
Three steps for instructors. Riders and parents register their interest, and the map shows where the demand is.
- 01
Apply
Tell us your city, state and ZIP, how far you can travel, and what you coach. No street address, ever. - 02
Get reviewed
A person reads every application before anything about it can appear on the map. - 03
Appear on the map
Once your application has been through review and you've opted in, your service area shows as a coverage circle.
Where interest is growing
We never show homes or exact locations. An area appears only once at least 5 riders there have opted in.
- Instructor coverage
- Rider interest: 5-9 / 10-14 / 15-24 / 25-49 / 50+
What to expect
Registering takes about two minutes. Here's what happens after, and what the map shows about you.
You get an account, not a booking
You'll confirm your email, add a rider by nickname and age band, and set your ZIP. Nothing is stored until you finish. There is no booking, no payment and no instructor contact in this phase.
A band, never a place
If you turn map consent on, your rider adds one to an anonymous count for your area. The map draws that count as a soft, banded region. Below five riders nothing is drawn. It never shows a name, an age, a home or a point.
Two emails, both from us
One when your address is confirmed, and one when lessons open in your area. Nothing else unless you turn on updates. Instructors cannot contact you in this phase.
What to expect
One application, read by a person. Here's what happens after, and what the map shows about you.
- DraftSaved, not sent. Only you can see it.
- SubmittedWe have your application.
- Under reviewA person is reading it.
- ApprovedYour service area can appear on the map, if you opted in.
- WaitlistedHeld for now. We'll come back to it.
- DeclinedNot going forward this time.
A person reads it
Your application moves from Submitted to Under review to a decision — Approved, Waitlisted or Declined. You can save a draft and come back. There are no leads, no bookings and no pay in this phase.
A service area, never a home
Once approved and only if you opt in, your service radius appears as a coverage circle over the area you named — never your address, your park or your name. You can switch it off at any time.
Every status change, by email
You'll hear when your application is received, when its status changes, and first when lessons and certification open. If we need a resume or references, we'll email you.
Why we're building this
Cam on the gap this fills: riders who want to learn, riders who could teach, and no simple way for them to find each other.
ScooterInstructors.com started with something Cam kept noticing: there's real demand for scooter instruction across the U.S., but coaches and parents rarely find each other. New riders need somewhere to learn the sport properly, without a training facility. Experienced riders need a reason to stay in it, because when the OGs leave a scene, the younger riders drift away too. When lessons launch, we want to give new riders a way in and experienced riders a way to coach, get paid for it, and keep their local scene strong. Right now we're building the foundation, and that starts with you signing up.
- Who is this for?
- Riders who want to learn and parents looking for instruction, and experienced riders who want to coach.
- What exists today?
- Pre-registration only. Riders and parents register their interest, instructors apply, and the map shows where interest and coverage are building. Lessons and booking come later.
- Why does keeping experienced riders matter?
- Scenes grow around the riders who stay. Giving them a way to coach keeps the whole area getting better.
- What happens next?
- We'll email you when lessons open. Nothing is booked, matched or promised before then. Until then: sign up, and tell your local scene.

Before you register
Not yet, anywhere. This phase is registration only. An area appears on the map once at least 5 riders there have opted in, and instructor coverage appears once an application has been through review and the instructor has opted in.
No. Rider interest is drawn as a shaded area, never as a point. An area with fewer than 5 opted-in riders is not drawn at all, so it looks exactly like an area with nobody in it.
We don't have a date. Register your interest and we'll tell you when it launches.
