Add to your home screen

ScooterInstructors.com works as a saved shortcut on your phone: one tap opens the map full-screen, with the logo on your home screen. It's the website, not an app — nothing to download, nothing to update.

iPhone · Safari

  1. Open this site in SafariOther browsers on iPhone can't add to the home screen.
  2. Tap the Share buttonThe square with an arrow, at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”Scroll the sheet if you don't see it.
  4. Tap AddThe ScooterInstructors icon appears with your other apps. It opens full-screen.

Android · Chrome

  1. Open this site in ChromeSamsung Internet and Firefox work too; the menu wording differs slightly.
  2. Tap the menuThe three dots, top right.
  3. Choose “Add to Home screen”On some phones it says “Install app” — same thing, still just a shortcut.
  4. Tap AddThe icon appears on your home screen and opens full-screen.
What it does

Opens full-screen, with the logo

The shortcut opens the site without the browser bar, so the map gets the whole screen. Your login and map settings carry over from the browser.
What it doesn't do

No notifications, no offline

It's a shortcut to the live site. There are no push notifications and it needs a connection. Remove it like any other home-screen icon.
